Citizens’ Manifesto Jam

The Citizens' Manifesto Jam brought together active citizens, community leaders, and civic organisations at the*spark | Pullur Centre to shape a shared vision for Bengaluru East ahead of the upcoming Bengaluru Corporation elections. Organised by Oorvani Foundation and Janaagraha Centre for Citizenry and Democracy, in partnership with Greater Bengaluru Balaga, Bangalore Apartments' Federation (BAF), and Million Voter Rising, the convening encouraged participants to deliberate on ward-level challenges, prioritise community needs, and collaboratively draft a citizens' manifesto. The resulting charter will serve as a collective statement of expectations for future elected representatives, helping strengthen neighbourhood governance and improve quality of life. By bringing together diverse voices in one place, the event demonstrated how collaborative spaces can foster meaningful civic participation and community-led action.
