Building Dialogues

What if you could build your way to a clearer understanding of a complex social problem? On September 25th, the*spark Pullur Centre hosted Building Dialogues, a 2-hour guided session by Emerald Box introducing social impact professionals to LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodologies and 3D spatial modelling. The session brought together NGO teams, social impact practitioners, and community leaders to explore challenges around measurable impact, funding opportunities, and building stronger community systems. Through hands-on modelling and collaborative exercises, participants mapped real-world systems, identified gaps and opportunities, and explored how different people, resources, and challenges connect. The session focused on three key outcomes: turning complex challenges into clearer problem statements, finding connections and missing links through group problem-solving, and developing practical next steps that participants could take back into their work. More than a workshop, Building Dialogues created a space for people working in social impact to step back from the day-to-day, see their challenges differently, and co-design new ways forward.
